Mattress Removal in Mesa & the Phoenix Metro
Single haul, flat price.
Mattresses and box springs picked up and recycled. Flat pricing per piece, no upcharges for stairs.
About our mattress removal service
Phoenix bulk trash refuses mattresses entirely, and most cities issue HOA violations for curbside dumping. CNC picks up mattresses across the Valley — single mattress, mattress + box spring, or full bedroom set — at flat per-piece pricing with no stair or access upcharges.
Clean, undamaged mattresses are routed to Arizona mattress recycling programs where the springs, foam, and fabric are separated and reused. Stained, bedbug-exposed, or heavily soiled mattresses are landfilled per Maricopa County rules — we'll tell you which category yours falls into upfront.
We handle apartment moves (Tempe, Scottsdale, Phoenix walk-ups), estate transitions, dorm move-outs, and bedroom upgrades. Same-day pickup is standard if you book before noon.

What affects mattress removal pricing in Mesa
Single mattress: $99. Mattress + box spring: $119–$149. Full bedroom (mattress, box, frame): $169–$229.
King and Cal king cost slightly more than queen/full due to bulk.
If we're already hauling a bedroom set or doing a move-out, mattress add-on is heavily discounted.
Mattress Removal in Arizona: local know-how
- 🌵Bedbug-exposed mattresses must be wrapped in plastic before transport per AZ pest-control guidelines — we bring wrap if needed.
- 🌵AZ summer heat makes mattress recycling pickup windows tighter — schedule mornings when possible.
- 🌵Tempe and Phoenix dorm move-outs (May): bundle multiple mattresses for best per-piece pricing.
Mattresses are singled out at the landfill, and here is why
A mattress is bulky, springy and nearly impossible to compact, which makes it a genuine problem for disposal facilities. They trap air, resist compression, and their springs tangle in landfill equipment. That is why many facilities charge a separate fee per mattress rather than taking them by weight like everything else.
They are also genuinely recyclable when routed properly, which is the frustrating part. A conventional innerspring mattress is roughly 90 percent separable by material: steel springs to scrap, foam to carpet underlay and padding manufacture, wood from the box spring frame, and the fabric and fibre to industrial uses. It is one of the better recovery rates of anything we handle.
What blocks it is contamination. A mattress that has been rained on, stored outdoors, has any bed bug history, or is heavily soiled cannot enter a recycling stream and goes to disposal. If a mattress is coming out, bring it out from inside rather than leaving it at the curb through a storm — that one decision often determines where it ends up.
Bed bugs change the job, so say so
If there is any bed bug history, tell us before the crew arrives. This is not a judgement — infestations happen in clean homes, hotels and new apartments — it is a logistics question, because moving an infested mattress through a building without containment spreads the problem to other rooms and, in multifamily properties, to other units.
Handled properly, it is straightforward: the mattress is sealed in an encasement bag before it leaves the room, the route out is planned to minimise contact, and the item goes directly to disposal rather than any recycling or donation stream. Handled as a surprise mid-job, it is a much worse afternoon for everyone.
The same applies to any mattress that is visibly stained, wet or has been stored in a garage through a summer. None of those disqualify us from taking it; they simply determine which stream it goes into, and knowing in advance means the crew brings the right materials rather than improvising.
Box springs, frames and the rest of the set
A mattress rarely leaves alone. Most calls are a set — mattress, box spring, and often the frame or an upholstered headboard — and those are three different disposal problems travelling together.
The box spring is the easiest: a wooden frame with fabric and some staples, mostly separable into wood and textile. Metal bed frames are clean scrap and genuinely valuable. Upholstered headboards and platform beds are the awkward ones, because like a sofa they bond foam and fabric to a frame and mostly cannot be recovered.
Worth knowing when replacing rather than simply disposing: most mattress retailers include haul-away of the old set with a delivery, and if it is already bundled into the purchase there is no reason to pay anyone separately. Where that falls down is a set in a second-floor bedroom, or an extra set beyond the one being replaced, which is where most of our mattress calls actually come from.
Flat per-piece pricing. No 'stair fees,' no 'walk-up surcharges,' no 'fuel adders.' What we quote is what you pay.
